Your Answer:

Question: 12. What happens if I decide not to take a course after registering for it?

Answer:

A student will be allowed to drop/delete a course from his/her schedule during the Drop/Add period each term. The Drop/Add period is the first four days of classes for Fall & Spring Semesters.  For Summer term, the Drop/Add period depends on the part of term the student is enrolled in a class.  Students will receive a full refund if the classes are drop/deleted from the student's schedule prior to the start of the course.

After the Drop/Add period, students will be allowed to withdraw from courses and receive a "W" grade.  The withdrawal must take place on or before the last day to withdraw without academic penalty.  The online University Academic Calendar publishes each term's withdrawal date

A partial refund will be issued to the student ONLY if the student withdraws from all courses.  The amount refunded will depend on how long the course has been in progress. For more information on refunds, visit the University Bursar website

Any student wanting to completely withdraw from his/her courses before the term begins or during the term may submit a Voluntary Cancellation/Withdrawal form.
