Description
Three NCATE-accredited schools in the University System of Georgia participate in this program: Valdosta State University, Georgia Southern University, and Columbus State University. Top graduate faculty from each school teach the courses. This 12-course online M.Ed. program can be completed in four consecutive semesters – about 16 months - with a full-time enrollment. Courses are offered on a continuous basis allowing for part-time enrollment. No campus visits are required to complete the program. The M.Ed. in Accomplished Teaching offers an online Master's Degree through three fully accredited universities in the University System of Georgia. Students in the online program benefit from a highly interactive setting that promotes leadership, collegiality, and communication skills. Professional educators find that the online degree in Accomplished Teaching emphasizes application of acquired knowledge and skills in their classrooms and schools. Teachers in the program come from a range of classroom settings and subject areas. Admissions Requirements
The online admissions process for this degree program will open after November 9, 2007. To join the Accomplished Teaching M.Ed. Program, apply online via the GeorgiaONmyLINE website to one of three affiliate schools. Application to the Accomplished Teaching M.Ed. Attendance Requirements
There are no on-campus attendance requirements for this program. Teachers enrolling in this program must be in a classroom setting with students a minimum of 20 hours per week per semester. This requirement can be fulfilled by being a classroom teacher or classroom volunteer. Students must have access to Webcam software and hardware to enable remote classroom observation and conferencing.
Transfer Policies
A degree program student is required to complete a minimum of nine credits from the degree granting institution. Degree program courses are freely transferable among the collaborating institutions. Degree students may transfer up to nine graduate credits from non-collaborating institutions if the credits were earned at a state approved teacher education program. Transfer credits must be approved by the advisor of the degree granting institution.

Tuition and Fees
This course qualifies under the special E-Rate tuition, which is $350 per credit hour.
Special Enrollment Issues
Students enrolled in the program will use the online courses to conduct all work, including team functions, exams, discussion posts, and case studies. Students also have access to academic resources, such as an online library. Courses are asynchronous. No face-to-face or group online meetings are required. Students may participate in IP videoconferencing/audioconferencing for instruction or field experience supervision. The courses combine text materials, case studies, online team projects and assignments, as well as discussions and written project work. Grades may be based primarily on reports, exams, assigned case studies, and participation in course and team activities.
