GOML Student Information Guide

Below is the step by step process and other important information for registering and logging into your GeorgiaOnMYLine courses after being accepted into your program. Please follow the guide and direct all inquiries to the appropriate channel as listed below in the Getting Help section.

Step 1: Login to My.GeorgiaSouthern

- Your username is the first part of your email address (ex. jd01234)
- Your initial password is your EagleID.
- Use the "First Time User" link underneath the login area to obtain your username if necessary.
- NOTE: You must have received your acceptance notification to be sure you can login.

My.GeorgiaSouthern contains links to your MyApps (email, calendar, etc.), WINGS registration portal, GOML GoVIEW and a host of other important services. It is your one stop resource for accessing your personal info and courses.

Step 2: Register for your courses

- Login to My.Georgiasouthern and click WINGS.
- Click on Student Records
- Click on Registration
- Next you can Select Term, Add/Drop Classes, etc.

- Before registering you may want to contact your advisor to set your course path.

Your username for both the GOML Student Registration System and GoVIEW (formerly GOML Vista) will be changing. The "@" will be replaced with the underscore "_". Therefore, if you currently have the username of "jd01234@gsou", it will be changing to "jd1234_gsou".

NOTE: Your GSU email address will also be "jd1234@georgiasouthern.edu".

Important Financial Note:
Dropping a course after the drop/add period will not result in a refund. You must drop your course(s) before the official drop/add date. Visit the GOML Course Calendar for those dates.

Step 3: View invoice and pay outstanding fees

- Login to My.GeorgiaSouthern and click on WINGS.
- Click on Student Services & Financial Aid.
- Click on Registration Invoice and Web Payment to view your current balance and reward.
- You may want to sign-up for E-Deposit through the Student Records menu inside of WINGS.



Important Note:
Changes to registration can take up to 2
business days to be reflected in GOML GoVIEW.

Step 4: Login to your online course in GOML GoVIEW (formerly known as GOML Vista) (On/after first day of class)

Starting May 13, 2013 you can login to your Summer 2013 GOML Courses, however, there will be a significant change to the login process if you did not take classes during Spring 2013.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?

GOML Vista will be replaced by GoVIEW.

Your username for both the GOML Student Registration System and GoVIEW (formerly GOML Vista) will be changing. The "@" will be replaced with the underscore "_". Therefore, if you currently have the username of "jd01234@gsou", it will be changing to "jd1234_gsou".

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR NEW LOG IN INFORMATION:

  1. Login to My.GeorgiaSouthern
  2. Once on the My.GeorgiaSouthern home page - Click on "Personal Settings" located in the My Services area
  3. Click on the "GoVIEW Login Information" to retrieve your username and password

**Again, this will be your username and password used to access your GoVIEW (formerly known as GOML Vista).

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR GoVIEW (formerly known as GOML VISTA) COURSES:

  1. Login to My.GeorgiaSouthern
  2. From the My.GeorgiaSouthern home page - Click on "GoView" - you are then taken to the GoVIEW (formerly known as GOML Vista) log in screen
  3. Enter your log in credentials that you found in the above process and you will be taken to your course listing

NOTE: Your Georgia Southern email address will not change.

Step 5: Other Important Information

- Make sure that you have read your syllabus or other instructions to undertake appropriate steps for Attendance Verification.
- USE GOOGLE! When you login to My.GeorgiaSouthern, your email, calendar and several other tools from Google are now standard for Georgia Southern students. Try them today!
